Secondary vocational school in Okružná St. 761/25 in Poprad
Our school prepares learners for jobs that are based on manual or practical activities. It offers two up to four-year secondary vocational fields of study. Students are taught by qualified teachers and vocational trainers in well-equipped classrooms and workrooms.
What majors can students study?
Sales assistant - four years of general education ending with the maturita (school leaving exam)
Mechanik of fire engines - four years of general education ending with the maturita (school leaving exam) and the vocational certificate
Mason, Plumber, Joiner, Carpenter - three years of study combines general education with some specific subjects, referred to as pre-vocational education and career orientation. Students obtain a vocational certificate at the end of a successfully completed programme.
Students who successfully finished three years of vocational study can enter a further education programme.
Students can enter a post-secondary programme at the same institution, to obtain a vocational qualification in two fields – Engineering and Construction. In these vocational programmes, students may participate in workplace training through co-operation between the school and local employers.
